How do I get my CSCS Labourer Card? This post provides answers to some frequently asked questions related to obtaining a CSCS Labourer Card

FAQs on CSCS cards

Q. What CSCS card do I need?

A. Check with employer and/or CSCS card finder below

https://www.cscsonline.uk.com/card-finder

Q. How do I get a CSCS Labourer Card?

  1. Two main requirements:

  • You will need to pass a Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment (www.learninglounge.com/cscs) or an approved alternative

  • You will need to pass the CITB HS&E test at a local test centre Book Direct with CITB HERE. View the CITB test centre map HERE

  • Order card from CSCS. Upload qualification certificate and insert your HS&E test reference number.

Q. How long does my Labourer Card last?

The Card lasts 5 years and each time is a new application and not a renewal. If you have a Level 1 Award such as the City & Guilds qualification, it is classed as an 'evergreen' qualification, and you will only have to pass it once, however you will still have to sit the CITB HSE Test each time you reapply for your site card.

Q. What ID do I require to book my tests and get my site card

You must provide one form of Primary ID from the list below, showing your full name, a recognisable photograph and signature.

  • Passport (UK or International)
