The simulator also incorporates several built-in study aids which enhance your learning by providing further help and insight. These include a question splits indicator which shows how long you’ve taken to answer each question and highlights whether you’re on target to comfortably complete the questions in the allotted time - great for honing your exam technique.
There is also an option to turn on colour coded highlights which quickly help you to identify which part of the regs a question refers to - the perfect companion feature to our Flagtags - the quick way to mark-up and navigate your book and perfectly acceptable to use in your formal exam.
Once you’ve completed a practice exam, you’ll receive feedback which will highlight your strengths and weaknesses, helping you to save time by targeting your study. [Find out more]

Our Changes course is designed for those who already have an earlier 18th Edition Qualification but want or need the current version to Amendment 2.
Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for the FULL course. However, it is generally accepted that learners should have good knowledge of electrical installation work and electrical science. The CHANGES course is designed for individuals who have a good working knowledge of the Regs and have a current qualification to the 18th Edition.
Objective
Objective
Our courses are suitable for individuals that require an understanding of BS 7671: practicing electricians, designers, consultants, electrical engineers, contracts managers, and other related trades.
Upon completion of the FULL course and CHANGES course, individuals will be conversant with the format, content and application of BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 - Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition Amendment No 2).

Duration
To assist learners, the full course is constructed in such a way that allows more confident learners to work through the main learning content and then choose whether or not to delve into further learning opportunities. As such, the full course study time is expected to be around 12-15 hours for the more confident delegate, 20-25 hours for the average delegate and a little longer for anyone needing to revisit sections.
As this is an e-learning course, you can complete this training in convenient stages and revisit at times to suit your lifestyle, and our learning management system (LMS) will automatically record your progress.
Certification
In order to achieve a certificate in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition) all delegates are required to complete a full 2 hour, 60 question exam which covers the whole book of Regulations. It is therefore strongly recommended that anyone who does not have a current 17th Edition Amd. 3 qualification, undertake the full course.
The final invigilated exam requires delegates to bring a copy of the Regulations with them for reference, and must be undertaken at a centre approved by an official Awarding Organisation such as City & Guilds or EAL.
